The course &#8220;A Fresh Approach for Understanding Bullies&#8221; is a combination of the concepts in RCB and the The Power of TED*. Each of these workshops can be completed in 30 to 45 minutes and allow ample time for closing comments or question and answer sessions.<\/p>\n<p>We offer these workshops often as an introduction to the powerful and effective content in the Redirecting Children&#8217;s Behavior 5-week, 12-hour course. They can be offered for a nominal fee as a fund-raiser for your school, PTA, daycare or other family focused organization.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; font-size: 18px;\">The Workshops<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Balancing Love and Discipline<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; introduces the concept of firm and kind, unconditional love and the value of more action and less talk as a parent.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Balancing Work and Family<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; learn how to nurture yourself and your family so that your family supports your work. Find the balance.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Consequences that work\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; introduces the concepts of natural and logical consequences and how parents\/teachers can effectively use them.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Creating Cooperative Families\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; how to create a cooperative family\/classroom atmosphere and covers what to do when there is a lack of cooperation.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Effective Parent-Child\/Teacher-Child Communication\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; introduces the concepts of listening, GEMS, handling feelings and conflict resolution.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Enhancing Children&#8217;s Self-esteem\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; demonstrates 10 methods of disciplining while instilling high self-esteem.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Getting in Step with Step-parenting\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; learn how to work cooperatively with your ex and peacefully blend families.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Handling Aggressive Children in the Classroom (Birth &#8211; 6)\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; explores the developmental and learned aspects of aggression and offers 15 actions that can be taken to correct this behavior.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Handling Sibling Rivalry\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; there is a difference between sibling rivalry and sibling conflict. Find out to identify and correct each.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>How to Turn a Terrible Two into a Terrific Two\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; uses lots of developmental information along with the mistaken goals of power and attention to make this difficult time wonderful.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;If You Don&#8217;t Stop Crying&#8230;&#8221; How to Handle Children&#8217;s Feelings\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><em>&#8211;<\/em> shows the effects of feeling stoppers and feeling encouragers and how to work with children&#8217;s feelings in each developmental stage.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;No I Won&#8217;t and You Can&#8217;t make Me!&#8221; Effectively Handling Power Struggles\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; teaches how to recognize and disengage from a power struggle and what to do to lessen them in the future.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;That&#8217;s It, You&#8217;re Grounded!&#8221; Parent-Teen Communication\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; how to effectively communicate with your teen to set clear boundaries and understand, &#8220;What happened to my child?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Parenting As a Team\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; discover the underlying causes for a couple&#8217;s disagreements on parenting and how to create peaceful resolutions.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Raising a Child with God\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; shows how using the RCB principles can assist parents in the spiritual and religious development of their children.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Take the Hassles Out of Homework\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; lessens the power struggle, teaches responsibility and goal setting, and demonstrates ways to encourage and self-motivate children.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Tame Those Tantrums\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; teaches the concept of how less power means more.
